I wasn’t expecting too receive my Glossybox at all this month, with everything going on, so it was a nice surprise for me when it was delivered a few days ago. I gave it a quick once over with Detol, just to be on the safe side and left it for a few days before opening it. So I was a kid on Christmas when it came to actually being able to open it. The April box is based around ‘Blossom’ and it’s full of so many pretty essentials for Spring and I thought I’d pop on here to share my first impressions with you.
April’s Glossybox theme
For April, Glossybox chose the theme ‘Blossom’ which is a perfect fit as spring is in full swing. The products seem to be based around freshness and nourishment which is also perfect for all the self care going on during lockdown. The box which retails at £13.25 is worth £120.38 this month, a few brands that stand out to me straight the way are Avant, Rituals and Nails Inc.
The products
NAILS.INC blossom kisses nail polish £11
I love the Nails.inc nail. Polishes and this is such a pretty shade. It’s going to be perfect for spring, I love the nails inc. ones because they last really well and they always have a great colour pay off so I’m really excited to use this one.
Avant gentle rose beautifying face exfoliant £92
This is a brand which I absolutely love, everything I’ve tried from Avant has been such a good quality but the only downside is the price tags that come with it. This scrub contains an antioxidant rose extract along with vitamin B5, it does good for your skin as well as smelling amazing.
Sport fx lip balm in Coconut £4.99
I’m quite intrigued by these lip balms They remind me of the EOS ones a little bit. I got the coconut one which is just clear and it smells incredible. They are also infused with SPF 15 and I’ve been more cautious about using products with SPF in recently so this is great for me.
Rituals cosmetics – The rituals of Sakura shower scrub deluxe mini £4.60 full size £9.90
I received the body lotion of this a few weeks ago in another Glossybox so now I have the duo of them, I absolutely loved the lotion so it’s no surprise that the scrub has now made it’s way into my most used products.
Hask deep conditioner £2.49
I’ve used a couple of these before and I do really like them, I just always forget to restock on them. The brand is brilliant and these are just the type of masks where you really see a difference in your hair, I feel like they really restore my relentless curls back to their natural glory and they’re such a good price as well, I really should remember to restock on these ones when I get chance.
My overall thoughts
I’m really happy with the overall bond this month, I know I’ll use all the products in here, I think the nail polish was potentially a little bit random considering everything else is skincare, perhaps they could have gone with a nail strengthener or something but it’s still a nice collection of products and I know I’ll use them all. Based on the theme and the actual products themselves I’d probably give Aprils glossybox a 8/10 overall.
The packaging looks super cute!
