Look Fantastic Haul & First impressions.

Through the last few months I’ve been trying to use up products I already owned in my make-up stash before buying any new ones. Before I knew it I was out of the majority of my everyday products, finding myself setting my makeup with a rimmel stay matte powder from god knows how long ago. I decided it was time to have a little top up.

Naturally, I’m going to start with my favourite bit so let’s dive into the make-up section of the haul.

One of the first things I headed for was a setting powder, as I mentioned I’ve cracked open the Rimmel stay matte and we’re not even going to look into how old that is, I’ve gone for my trusty Maybelline lasting fix in translucent. I really rate these powders, they do a few different loose powders and it’s always my go to brand when I’m after one. They’re cheap and they work well, I just wish they sold bigger tubs of it!.

Sticking with Maybelline again I grabbed the Lasting Fix setting spray which is one I tend to go for a lot as well, again it’s just a bargain really, I can’t fault it!.

I’ve screwed myself a little on this one and I brought two as well which is frustrating, I picked up two of the NYX can’t stop wont stop concealers thinking I’d gone for the lightest shade and when I opened one up to try it, it was so orange. I’ve looked on the tube and it does say CW 01 and I just didn’t pay attention to the ‘CW’ part of that, I should have gone completely cool rather than neutral.

Another error in my ordering (I must have been so tired when I ordered this). I picked up not just one but two of the exact same wet & wild highlighter (precious petal is the shade for anyone wondering)… and in the pan it looks pretty dark but when i swatched it it was perfect, it adds such a lovely glow, it’s quite shimmery as well which I love. I’m glad about the accidental order of two because I can tell I’m going to go through this so quickly.

The next thing I went straight towards was the NYX control freak brow gel, it’s just a clear one. My brow gel is literally just a dry spoolie at this point, it’s got nothing left to it. I haven’t used this one before but I love the brand, you can’t really go wrong with them (so long as you order the right shades!).

For about the third time this year, I’ve started growing my nails (yes, again) and I really want to paint them. The problem is with that, none of my nail varnishes have stay power. I bit the bullet and ordered one of the OPI ones because I’ve heard great things about them. I went for “Barefoot in Barcelona” and I can’t wait to give this a go. I also grabbed the OPI quick dry top coat whilst I was there.

Skincare is another area where I’ve just completely emptied my day to day staples and I’m so excited to use the skincare bits I picked up from here.

So the first thing, is something I have been swooning over for about 2 months now (and yes, TikTok made me do it). It’s The Ordinary’s Rosehip oil, I can’t even express how excited I am to use this. I’m hoping it’s going to help clear up my redness and breakouts (fingers crossed).

Next I picked up The original brow shaper I find these the easiest way to tame my eyebrows, I also use them on any peach fuzz (we’ve all been there) and they’re so handy to have.

Lastly I picked up the Vintage cosmetic company make-up removing cloths. I first tried these from a Glossybox and they’re honestly the best make-up remover cloths I’ve tried, they’re really gentle but they work really well and I’ve saved so many cotton pads and face wipes going into the bin from using these. I’ll definitely pick some more of these up.

I’m so happy with what I picked up in this little haul and there’s another to come from All Beauty soon which I’m so excited to share with you. Have you tried any of these products? Or have you picked up any new goodies recently?
